Name;; Jairus Kevin Benigno
Nicknames;; In the classroom, he simply goes by "Benigno" or "Mister B." or something, but he is on a first-name basis with many of his students and teacher friends who call him "Jay" or "Jai" or "Rus" or whatever they think of.
Age;; 24
Birthday;; May 17
Year;; Teacher
Gender;; Male
Sexuality;; Heterosexual
Class;; I'm not too sure what to put here...
Power;; He has the power of instantaneously searching through someone's soul and body and finding out pretty much everything about them.
Height;; 5' 11"
Weight;; 145 lbs, pretty lightAppearance;;
Build;;He tries to works out, so he is decently strong, but he isn't really buff. He's more of an average-build, leaning toward the scrawny side. He's a little short compared to most adults, as well as young, but makes up for it with his personality.
Eye Color;; His eyes are thickly-framed by heavy eyelashes. They change colors, varying from deep gold-flecked ivory-green to a solid glazed blue-grey. They mostly change with his mood, and are hidden by thin wire-framed glasses.
Hair;; His hair was clearly once short, but grown out. It is a pretty medium-longish length, and sticks out a little bit around the edges. It covers his ears and his forehead, which is layered with parted bangs. Its color is a coarse dark brown that gleams crimson in the light.
Other;; He has a only ONE (well, TWO actually) aspect of the badboy he's not-- a tattoo. He got it after Lynnette died during his grief, half so he would never forget her, half so he could feel physical pain. It is right in between his abdomen and his stomach, and is a fancy-shaped letter "L" colored in red blossoming from and staining a white rose.
THAT and once, some college dorm-mates snuck up on him with a do-it-yourself piercing gun and struck him on the top of his right ear. He never really got around to taking the ring out, so the hole didn't close and he changes his earring every few days so he won't get an infection.
He still wears his engagement ring, but on his left index finger instead of his ring. It didn't feel right there. It is a thick silver band that circles around his finger twice, the endings almost touching, next to each other, with intricate carvings.
Fears;;
--He is pretty scared of being alone in the world. He likes to feel like he fits in somewhere or belongs, so he's not a loner.
--He forever fears the death of a loved one. It sort of goes along with his fear of being alone, except with more history.
--He's afraid of bees and bee stings.
Likes;;
--He's a deep thinker. Whenever he has time, he likes to wallow in philosophies and think about pretty much anything.
--He likes to read-- especially novels. He's a true bookworm at heart, but he isn't as much a writer.
--He has this THING for Italian food... Like, pasta and tomato sauce and stuff...
--He's a romantic at heart, so he loves foreign languages and romantic scenes.
Dislikes;;
--He is a hardworker and dislikes when people don't try at things that are important to them.
--I wouldn't say dislike for this one, I would say HATE. He HATES it when people take each other for granted, and when they abuse each other. He knows from experience how bad that is and he doesn't tolerate it at ALL.
--He isn't exactly a fan of loud music. Though he is somewhat a wild person, he is mainly a soft kind of person who likes soft music.
--One of his favorite places to go is London.
Strengths;;
--He can always see the good qualities in anybody, and he always manages to get along with them, too, with his extreme sense of empathy (partly from his powers).
--People are generally attracted to him, either because of his looks or his personality. He's social and likes to talk, but he is also loyal and easy to talk TO.
--He has unlimited energy reserves, but not in the hyper sense. In the sort of I'm-sort-of-tired-but-I'm-still-awake way.
--He's really strong, physically.
--Looking HAWT!
Weaknesses;;
--The memory of Lynne (see below) is still burned into his memory, so every little things that reminds him of her hurts. Alot.
--After having caffeine or sugar or anything energizing of any sort, he majorly CRASHES. So-tired-can't-even-lift-my-head-up-fall-over CRASHES.
--Because of his breathing problems, Jairus cannot do anything that is anywhere near "hard work" physically. Even walking, he has trouble breathing.
--He's a very emotional person, and shows it often. If something effects him emotionally in any way, you'll know it.
Habbits && Quirks;;
--He is one of those people who forgets about personal space every so often.
--When he gets nervous, he musses up his hair.
--He has this weird thing with his body temperature where no matter how hot or cold it is outside, he always feels just the right temperature of warm. ALWAYS. Basically, he could wear nothing in the winter and a heavy coat and the summer and his temperature won't change.
Overall Personality;;
Trait 1;; In general, he is a nice person. He talks to others and gives off a natural feeling of calm and easygoing. He's sort of like a social worker in the way that he gives advice to people and listens to them and understands them.
Trait 2;; He likes to think about things, and often stares off into space with a glazed expression, but only at appropriate times. He knows when it's time to do something important and when he can afford to waste time.
Trait 3;; He is loose. He is okay with formality, but if it's not necessary, he likes to stick to his own style. Pretty much, he's a casual person. He calls people by their first names or nicknames and wears loose clothing, as well as speaks informally.
Mother;; Editor, 48 (would be)
Father;; Set designer and producer, 50
Siblings;; Bennett Benigno is Jairus's younger sister. At the age of 12, she is half his age. They are pretty distant and don't associate with each other much.
Other Family;; Lucio Brian Benigno is looks mainly like Jairus, except for a few minor features and younger. He is 18 and is Jairus's cousin. They are very close.
Aiden Matthew Oliver is Lucio's nephew, so he's Jairus's... second cousin? Cousin-nephew? Or something... Well, anyways, the two of them (Jairus and Matty) don't see each other much, but they used to be really close when they were younger. The two are pretty alike in personality.
Pets;;

Agro is a male Desert Lynx Cat, about 13 years old. He has sandy-colored, long fur with dark brown stripes and bright green eyes. He is shy towards strangers, but is incredibly friendly to friends.
History;; Jairus grew up as an average kid in a comfortable, suburban home. He had good grades, lots of hobbies, and was content with life. Going through grade school, he was surrounded by supportive peers and his not-quite-perfect-but-still-lovable parents. After leaving home for college, Jairus had the distant dream in his head to be an artist-- a photographer, no less. He had picked up some uplifting habits, one of them being his undying love for art. He had also learned to love athletics, and spent his free time running track. But sports were not the only thing he came to love... After his 19th birthday, in the beginning of his freshman year in
college, he met Lynette Ako Ayanna. She was a sophomore, but a month younger than him, set on being a teacher. The two fell for each other and had a happy relationship for a year and a half before Jairus proposed to her on the balcony of his dorm. She accepted, and the two made plans for a wedding. Jairus's father did not approve and disowned him. His mother had died in his senior year in high school. Just 10 months away from their happy wedding, Jairus came down with a cold and passed it to Lynette. He recovered, but she died in front of him. He fell into a spiraling depression, and his body fell to breathing troubles. Only by talking to his cousin, Lucio, was Jairus able to recover and continue his life. He took possession of Lynette's loved cat, Agro, and never truly managed to fall in love again. He spent a total of 5 years at college and became a teacher in place of Lynette in the world, going back to his old high school to work, never letting go of her memory.
Other;;Jairus has breathing problems, so he is really weak, and often misses his former athleticism.
Play-by;; Don't know, but isn't he cute?
Passwords;;
How'd you hear about Perditae Terra;; You mean Leonardo Academy? Yeah, I guess you can say it was from admin...
RP Sample;;
"So, where do you want to go?" Jairus wrapped his arm gently around Lynette's waist, as if she were a fragile doll. She pulled out of his arm and hugged it between her own two instead.
"How 'bout we stay here and now?" she suggested. She leaned against him hard, and he was almost sure she was indeed not a fragile doll, but he still loved everything about her. They continued walking under the thick grove of trees. A few stray patches of sunlight peeked between the array of green leaves and pink sakura blossoms. They caught Lynette's eyes and made them gleam the brilliant violet shade he had come to know and love. He smiled to himself.
Lynette turned to her fiancé and noticed him smiling. "What is it?" she asked, slightly puzzled. Jairus shook his head a bit, trying to shake out his short hair the way she liked. "Nothing," he replied. "Just thought of something..." Lynette smiled back, understanding without understanding. The two continued their walk in silence. It was not an awkward silence-- the two were caught in their own little world, surrounded by the warm, fresh air and the romantic feeling blowing through the foliage of summer. A few people passed, but they barley noticed as they walked arm in arm.
Jairus was the first to break the silence. "Tomorrow," he said, half-deep thinking, half-solemn, "is the first day of the new semester." Lynette didn't reply, but watched the ground with a hard stare. He continued. "I'll be going back to school, of course. Where will you be?" Lynette still said nothing. Jairus took her chin in his free hand and tilted her head so he could see her face. She was slowly shedding big, bubbly tears. He felt a large pang of guilt tear through his innards, and he could feel his throat close, about to release his own shiny tears.
"I don't want you to go," Lynette barely whispered. "I know you have to, and I know it's important, but..." she looked him in the eye with glazed, blurry ones of her own. "I'll miss you, Jay. I can never stop thinking of you now, and it's just going to be worse for me when I know you're not closeby. I can't stand it. I love you, Jay..."
The two sat down on a bench, unable to continue standing in their shared sorrow.
"I love you, too, Lynn, but you can call me and e-mail me. And you can always visit me at my dorm on the weekends," he suggested, but without speaking, they both knew-- it wasn't the same.
Jairus leaned down and kissed Lynette on the lips-- passionately but soft. She tasted like the newly shed tears on her face. "I'm going back to school," he said. "And I'll miss you, too. But when school ends, we'll finally be together," he said hopefully. "Forever." His voice cracked on the final word, and he, too, began to cry. And the two sat there on a park bench, crying and clinging to each other for dear life, as strangers of all sorts passed and gathered around them, oblivious to the true, raw emotion behind the tears of the lovers.
Jairus lay awake in his bed, watching the moonlight streaming through his window blinds on the cool, summer night. Chest bare, covers fallen to his waist, his fairly recent tattoo seems to shine on his skin. A portrait of Lynette hangs over his teaching filing cabinet. It doesn't seem like a proper throne for her memory... Jairus turns his head and looks away in shame, hair falling over his eyes.
He hears a faint clicking on the polished wood floor below him, and a heavy but comforting weight settles on his chest. He smiled to himself and strokes the head of the beloved cat as memories come flooding back.

Well, I noticed the link-image-thing didn't work, but I didn't feel like going back and saving the pictures, so I'm leaving the urls there.
