"François! FRANÇOIS!" Dawndrell called out to her beloved kitten over the rush of the fountain, searching everywhere. Up a tree? Nope. In the fountain? Nope. Where's François? Dawndrell was close to tears. How had her extraordinary night ended like this?
She cast a glance at Sawyer. He, too, seemed to be making the effort to find the cat. She felt a rush of gratitude at not being alone. Pulling her eyes away, she continued her search.

Still at a rather calm demeanor, he looks through bushes and lowly lit grass of the surrounding area. But no matter how hard he looked, it came to no avail. Okay, where do you think Francois would run off to? I mean, I really don't think a kitten would hang around here on its own. He really didn't like the look on Dawndrell's face. The distress was the complete opposite of the girl he met tonight. Had to do something to bring that smile back. People were meant to smile. Though he understood that times like these make you appreciate the good moments, he didn't like going through them. I must, think, like.... a cat. I wish he wasn't serious when he said that, but he was. More like talking to himself than anything.

She watched Sawyer cautiously, wondering if he was actually going to do it. Then realizing it didn't really matter, she turned back to the search for François. In the corner of her eye, Dawndrell saw something orange under a shrub. She inched forward, whispering "François? Is that you?" She crawled onto her hands and knees and held back some stray branches. At closer examination if the orange blob she found...
A stray soda can. Some unknown brand called "Yellow-Orange." Dawndrell felt a strong surge of anger and disappointment rush over her. She glared at the can and it shriveled up with a loud "CRUNCH."

The night was getting later, and the air colder. Sawyer climbed from tree to tree, looking for his new orange friend. But it was getting dark and he was getting tired. Though he'd never admit to her, had no idea what to do at this point. Does he know his way back home, maybe? You can look there and I can keep looking here. It's no problem. he said as he jumped out of his eighth tree. He then rushed over her her side where he saw the soda can executed on the ground. "She must be really upset. Can't say that I can blame her." Hey, everything's going to be alright, ya'know?

Dawndrell nodded absently. She felt really... well,... BAD. She looked at her sneakers, scuffing them in the dirt, then at the stars, then at an orange shrub, then at a tree. Anything to keep from looking at Sawyer, who had helped in the search alongside her. Their first dance seemed like it was years ag--
ORANGE SHRUB!??! WTF!??!
Dawndrell ran over to the clump of bushes and pulled aside branches to find... Another soda can. Of course. Defeated, she dropped the branches and let the soda can lay with a meow. Where did they come fro--
The soda can meowed.
She pulled back the branches again, and found a little orange kitten next to the can.
"Françoooooois!!!!!" She lunged in and grabbed the kitty into a tight bear hug, despite her frantic "Mew! Merrrr-eorrrrrw!"'s of... umm... pain... The branches fell back to their original places and hit Dawndrell, scratching her. She crawled out of the shrubbery and set François on the fountain edge, carefully. Turning to Sawyer, she jumped up and hugged him, squeezing the life out of him. "I found her! Thank you sooo much for helping me! You are sooo rad!" *ramble ramble*

This is great! I knew you'd find your friend! Since she was hugging him,( well crushing was more like, though he didn't mind), he thought it only right to hold her as well. He tried his best to keep up with what she was saying, but failed, confirming his suspicions that she was really happy and that he shouldn't spoil her moment. So he let her ramble from topic to topic until the stopped squeezing him and calmed down. When she was finally settled, they were looking eye to eye. His, caring, as always, and he say a sense of relief in hers. There was a moment of silence that passed by with a cool breeze. It was finally broken Francois meowed, bringing Sawyer back to his senses and seeing that he was still holding Dawndrell. He was still looking back at her and this ominous breeze still blowing. All he that came to mind was Some we've been having, huh?. But of course he said this instead of thinking about and not coming up with something a bit more appropriate or elegant. Too bad.

Dawndrell blushed and tried not to squirm, in case it made her new friend uncomfortable. Anyways, she knew what he meant. She nodded. "Yeah, that was the craziest night of my LIFE." The stood for a moment, before Dawndrell shifted over to the fountain and picked up François, holding her like a baby in her arms. She sat against the fountain and watched François jump out of her arms and circle along the rim as she had done earlier than night. Dawndrell looked up and smiled at Sawyer.

As he approached her, he could feel the heat coming from her cheeks. "Must've really enjoyed herself." Very calmly, he knelt next to her. Say, I still need to get my friend as well. Remember? That guard is holding my guitar Standing at his full height, he extended a hand to her, in order to help her up. This time, Francois can see Persona. I'm sure you'd like one visit before the night is late. He subtly excreted a warm aura around him, contrary to the cold air, so that his offer may seem more appealing. He really needed his guitar, but he didn't want to lose her company just yet. Just like her, he was having a very good time himself. Anyone could see it plain on his face.

Dawndrell smiled and nodded her head. "Yeah... You sure wouldn't want to lose a guitar like that." She stood up and followed Sawyer out of the fountain area, François in her arms. She cast one backwards glance at the fountain, sparkling against the sky, and another one at the stars, glimmering like the lights in Persona.
